And just a couple of quick shots, since you can never have to many of this awesome watch - not as beautiful a setting as the one above I'm afraid, since I'm at the office 🙁

I like how it looks on the strap.👍
Where did you get it?

Archer is building one for me now. The prices on these keep jacking up because Omega is raising the cost of parts. No doubt in part to stop this sort of thing. The case has doubled in price over four years. You could build one complete for around $1500 five years ago and now it's nearly 3 grand. How I wish I had known about these in 2008 or 2009!

Hi all,

WatchCo are running out of all their Omega stock and won't and can't get anymore they also sold lots of NOS Shom's and Baby Ploprof's which the same as the SM 300's were made up of a new case, crystal, dial and hands and then a sourced old movement for them the newer Shom's and Baby PloProf's all have Luminova service dials and hands. Whilst they do offer an all Omega parts watch many consider them to be Franken's and there are some stories of some Customs in certain countries confiscating and destroying some as fakes. Google is your friend for more info.

I believe the customs story was a hoax. A (low post count) poster on watchuseek claimed that it happened to him but then disappeared after being asked for proof.

I really doubt the story of customs destroying it as a fake. I have made and sold many of these all over the world and there has never been a problem with customs.

Cheers, Al

The customs story has never been confirmed. I don't buy it at all. I'm spending more on my soon to be SM300 than on any other watch in my history so I am 100% confidant in my choice.

Having seen yours in person I can confidently say that someone would be hard pressed to find a vintage sm300 as nice as yours. That thing was beautiful. You going to make it to the Omega event on August 24th?
