Looking to by my first Omega, looking at Mid 60's seamaster or Seamaster De-Ville

Have spotted an Automatic non Calendar Seamaster in a stainless case, that has the fully sealed non-openable back. I thought only the Seamaster De Villes had this?

Could this watch be a De Ville with a transplanted non De Ville face, or did Omega make the non De Ville Seamaster with the fully sealed casing at some stage?

Can you post some pictures of the watch in question?

Yes, there were Seamasters that came in the front loading case that typically was used for Seamaster De VIlles. These were usually early 60's pieces, done before and into the first year or so of the Seamaster De Ville line. The combination of the words "Seamaster" and "De Ville" was done for Norman Morris, Omega's US import agent, from 1963 to 1967. I don't have exact years that the Seamaster came in these cases for you though.
