I love this piece. Just ordered a few seatbelt natos for variety and think I will order an aftermarket Milanese bracelet for fun. I have had several Rolexes, so many watches, cleaned house and this baby is a keeper!

Thank you. I want to see if I like the look before plunking that much down...and with the stories of discomfort...not sure...my wrist swells and shrinks through the day, natos are so comfortable. But, for originality-I may have to give the OEM a go.

I totally forgot about the fitment issues due to the clasp on the OEM versions. My bad. Nato looks bad-ass though. Never really appreciated these versions till I saw one in person. If I could do it over again, I would purchase the mesh bracelet reference instead of my white SMP 300m.

Thank you guys. I have had several vintage watches, red sub, 5512, 5513, speedmaster, etc. this is my favorite watch ever...it has vintage components, modern usability...and Bond...different strokes but I just love it.

Sapphire Crystal correct? If so, I wonder why can't they make a similar one for the Speedy without the milky ring and all?

I think it’s really nice - congrats. I’ve tried on a number of times on the nato, just haven’t pulled the trigger. I finally tried on the bracelet yesterday as they have 2 in my local AD and it’s very light. I likely would have bought it aside from the fact there is such a lot of metal under the wrist - you have the spare Milanese, the clasp and then the outside Milanese and it made a huge gap between wrist and bracelet. There were no comfort issues as I found a reasonable fit, it just looked really odd.

a very odd set up. I suspect the smaller bracelet would help, but for me I’d do as you have and get the nato version and maybe an after market mesh bracelet.

i have to say even with the bracelet issue I liked it a lot more than I expected to. It’s a really nice watch.

That is a great watch. When I went to finally buy my speedmaster I had to divert my eyes so I wouldn’t be tempted. Love the pics!
