·Thank you everyone for the replies whether I should have swapped my Seamaster 300 with the Jaeger-lecoultre Master Calendar. Quick update, I got the JLC yesterday after trading in the Seamaster. Have been wearing the JLC since yesterday, very pleased with the watch, understated, love the day/date/month functions. Very comfortable to wear, I do like a bit of 'beef' on my watches, the JLC has enough weight and thickness to remind me it's there but at the same it's light and unobstructive.
Quality and finish are superb and accuracy is spot on, +2 seconds within 24 hrs which is excellent in my book.
Will I miss the Seamaster? I do get attached to my watches, so yes, will certainly will raise memories each time I see one on a website. Still, absolutely worth the trade in, the JLC is a much more functional watch for what I need.
Finally, I always considered myself as a sporty/diver watches type, dress watches were never my thing until about last year when I started noticing them more. With JLC master calendar I find myself wondering whether I am entering a new chapter in my 'watches journey' 😀. Or could be a age thing hitting 52 soon...
Once thanks for all your thoughts!
New toy pic attached 👍
Cheers.
