No more service cards ?

Not sure if this has already been asked so apologies if this is duplication. Got my Seamaster 253180 back from service a couple of weeks ago and did not get a white service card included just a paper print out stating 24month warranty. When I emailed them i got this reply (see image). I’m really disappointed they don’t do service cards any more... wish i could get one

Omega probably don't want people who bought their watch from a gray dealer to ever have an international warranty card for it.

The important thing is, did they do the service correctly? A card doesn't add anything to the equation.

Hi. Yes the quality of the service was excellent so much replaced, it’s like new again. But it was expensive and missing the service card (not red international warranty card (I already have that)) is disappointing that I need to hold onto a crapy crumpled up print as service history that looks less authentic.

Scan the paper and then toss it. Sounds like you don't even need it since Omega is tracking it all based on your watch's serial number anyway.

As fellow forum member PandaSPUR has stated......scan the paper and maybe store it on you phone?

If not.....print an extra copy (just in case) and then store both the original and printed copy with the box (that is if you still have the original box that came with your Omega watch) for reference?

yes ok, will do. I was just thinking from a resale usefulness point of view. If they are removing the white service card they really should go with some sort of online version, just like with my other seamaster online certification results

Happy new year guys. I should plan a complete service from omega, and this news is not good.

From this morning I see that the service price is increased about 200€ for all type of watch. 🤬

I think that they remove the cards as other people remove papers from their lives to save the planet and the trees...
