A combination of factors. Big fan of bright lume when I wake up in the middle of the night. No use for an actual chronograph. The only thing going for that chronograph was that it was unique to me.
Nice. I'm not a Speedy expert but is this a 145.022 that you modified by switching in the CK2998's silver hands?

I don't know those numbers. It started as a 3594.50 "57 Replica". It had broad arrow hands and a stainless bezel. I switched it to the modern hands and bezel. Then I switched it to the alpha hands.

The watchmaker I traded it to returned it to as-delivered condition.

Congratulations on your collection.
you evidently have very clear views about what you want and / or need -and hats off to you for that.

I know some of you are going to say, "You need a Constellation!" No, I don't. 😀

but this makes me very sad 🙁
(There’s so much more to Connies than arrowhead dials....)

these on the other hand make me very happy 😀

I still have a 1962 14900 pie pan and a 1966 168.004 dome dial, both mint. I love them both! And as for a 50 year old watch not being able to keep chronometer grade time without major service costs, my 168.004 loses about .6 (that’s point 6) SPD.

eBay...

I really like the seamaster in the upper right. Makes me miss my DateJust...

I read this and instantly marched upstairs to put on my own 166.010. You get a lot of watch for the money with that model.

Very nice collection! I do like your Calendar ones. I agree with your point of them having similarities with a Constellation. Both are very elegant!

Is it the 29th or 16th or 6th or 5th or 2nd? 😉

Yesterday, I went most of the day thinking it was Thursday. I probably need a date watch more than I need a time watch.

But it seems the main purpose of the date is to tell us which watch to wear next. "Pick me, pick me!"

I think you should edit your title to "I need more Lemanias!"

I'm sort of half-heartedly looking for an Omega railroad certified, but those are terribly expensive. Might get an Aqua Terra someday. But I already can't decide which watch to wear some days....

Simple! I'm not a collector. I just like wearing Omega watches. 😀

Haha, great comment. Lovely collection you have there.

I got my aqua terra first, but I think if I had gotten the railmaster I wouldn't need both...

but need has nothing to do with it.

VERY nice collection!
omegas are my fave as well. i have 4 now. (PO, 300, GMT 00 and a dynamic 3 chrono). i usually only wear omega, i rarely grab for anything else.
ive had as many as 7 at once. mostly seamasters and speedmasters.
id love a couple vintage ones but my monster wrists make anything under 40mm look like mickey mouse watches.
even my dynamic at 39mm looks tiny...

Hi you have a really nice collection, I particularly like the one on the bottom row one in from the right with the large numbers. The crown is fantastic

Thanks! The case was made in Canada, near as I can tell, and might well have accompanied a Canadian service member to the Great War! The hands and numbers were lumed by Everest Watch Works. I feel lucky to have gotten it for a good price and affordable restoration.
