Greetings!
This year I have bought way too many watches. The feast must end.
Soon I will be buried alive by these goddamn tiny ticking machines if I don't change my behavior. About a month ago I decided “no more watches this year” and here we go again. I just bought this lovely cheapo diver. It was so reasonably priced and recently serviced. Pic from seller.
I must learn how to resist the siren song of vintage beauties. Hence, I am declaring a watch fast! Starting date 1.1.2022.
A human can survive without food for 30-60 days, so let’s see how long a watch collector can last before he succumbs and makes a new purchase?
Who’s with me in this doomed and masochistic endeavor?
I bought like 20-some watches between November 21 and March 22? Then I said I wouldn't buy until January 2023. Then I bought I in June from a a friend who was unloading for health reasons. Then I bought 1 watch to celebrate a new job in late July. And then I bought another waiting for that one. And then like 9 more. Oh man. And I still want a speedy even though I blew my speedy budget on the last 3 watches. Lol. This place doesn't help at all. Thank you!
After reading @RevZMan123’s post I counted up how many watches I’ve purchased in 2022 and just the thought of admitting it publicly was a bit embarrassing. And it’s not even September.
