I was talking to a gentleman about a gold omega 176.007 a while ago and I lost his contacts. I wanted to buy a watch off him and I had only spoke to him online and via text but I cleared all my texts when I flew the the USA. He was a legit guy but I never called him from my cell so his number never showed up on my phone bill and I can’t remember how I found him. I’ve tried eBay, Facebook and now I’m trying on here. If he is on here, he’ll know who he is, can you please contact me. I’ve tried every way I can to contact you and this is the last thing I can think of.

If this isn’t the right place to post this please let me know the place I can. Sorry I’m just not on here enough.

Thanks.

All the best to you. This is an unfortunate situation and I hope you find the seller. Have you considered this option?

And I really hope the moderators will allow this. If it is such, this would be the stealthiest WTB post ever 😝

Perhaps you’re talking about this seller:

I also contacted him about his 176.007 but got no response, maybe you have better luck than I.

Type 176.007 to the search bar. Limit the searching area to “private watch sales” or “watch for sale”.

If you have an iphone you can try some of these methods to restore your texts:

## First: was this in Messages (iMessage/SMS)?

If it was a regular text/iMessage thread in the Messages app and you’re on iOS 16 or later, do this (works for up to 30 days after deletion): support.apple

1. Open Messages.
2. At the top left, tap Filters or Edit.
3. Tap Recently Deleted.
4. Select the conversation you want to restore.
5. Tap Recover at the bottom, then Recover Messages to confirm.

If you do not see the conversation in Recently Deleted, it has either been more than about 30 days or it was already permanently removed, and you’d need a backup (next section). community.handyrecovery

## If it’s not in Recently Deleted

You can only get it back by restoring your iPhone from a backup that still contains that conversation (this will roll your phone back to that point in time): reddit

1. Check for iCloud backups: on your iPhone go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → iCloud Backup and note the last backup date.
2. If the backup is from before you deleted the chat, you can:
- Go to Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone → Erase All Content and Settings.
- Set up the iPhone again and choose Restore from iCloud Backup (or from Finder/iTunes on a Mac/PC if you have a local backup).

This can restore the deleted conversation, but it may remove changes (photos, messages, app data) created after that backup. youtube

## If it was WhatsApp or another app

For WhatsApp, you normally have to restore from a WhatsApp or iCloud backup: syncios

1. In WhatsApp, go to Settings → Chats → Chat Backup to see when the last backup was made.
2. If the backup predates the deletion:
- Delete and reinstall WhatsApp.
- Open it, verify your number, and choose Restore Chat History when prompted.

Other chat apps (Telegram, Signal, Facebook Messenger, etc.) have their own rules; some sync everything to the cloud so a deleted chat is usually gone for good, while others may restore from their own backups.
