i know that some people are looking for it... So what do you think? I really like it... http://cda.chronomania.net/forum_entry.php?id=164032
Well, since you asked, I think that I would much prefer to own an interesting variety of anywhere from three to ten really nice vintage watches for the same amount of money.
I had (admittedly a very faint) hope of this one remaining under the radar and being able to snaffle it at auction but Hodinkee has just ensured that won't happen. https://www.bukowskis.com/en/auctio...metre-nina-rindt-chronograph-wristwatch-36-mm
I have contacted the seller The crown and crystal are not original i have a doubt on subdial hands too ... are they originals ? i will go to Paris to see the watch and i will post picture if i buy it
http://www.chrono24.com/en/universalgenve/compax-pre-nina-black-dial--id4557026.htm This one is actually for sale since a few days, seller asking minimum price of 12.000€, first serie Nina with incorrect crown.
Worth pointing out that sub-dial hands are correct for a Mk I Compax. I don't think that's a crazy price at all, personally.
Register hands have been mentioned before. However, there are no hard and fast rules on register hands. I have seen stick hands on applied logos and non applied logos. Later executions of compax and space compax models seem to have stick hands. This is evidenced in original catalog images (one which i posted a month or so ago). Thin stick hands and thicker hands are found in both applied and non applied logo versions.
Too late. I was negotiating a purchase on it. Unfortunately it was put up for auction ... It was auctioned off at geneva on 12/11/16. I won't bother mentioning price as it would be cheaper to fly to pluto ...
Yeah ... I thought so too. Anything is possible with antiquorum though. Maybe they used an archive photo as it was entered late. The one that the auction shows is NOS ! I would have expected it to reach the upper 40s.
https://www.bukowskis.com/en/auctio...metre-nina-rindt-chronograph-wristwatch-36-mm This Nina was sold on sunday at the same price (around 22k). I would prefer spend 7.000€ more for a NOS and 100% original watch. At those level of price, buyers want the best. (Even if i do not have the budget) It's like two auctions with two cars, one with 5.000km and the other with 80.000km don't you think ?
sometimes a 80k kms car properly serviced is better than an abused 5k kms one, but i agree that once you get to that kind of budget it does not make much sense (to me anyway) to accept a less than perfect example (i mean great condition, all original).
I saw that one listed on the auction but was too lazy to get up (east coast time) and I absentee bid a whopping "high" in the range $8100 (+ comission). Hey, it was their high range! Knew it was an error but you can hope that the whole world missed it.
