Corners are fixed. Next project will be a valet that will include an old looking dive helmet. I picked up the helmet on the cheap. It’s part of a pen holder but one pen dock is missing. See below.

Can’t wait to see the final outcome. I was thinking that yoga blocks would make good inserts for a variety of boxes one might find in vintage shops. They come in a few sizes (thick and thin) and are made of foam or cork, so they don’t weigh much. They would be pretty easy to cut and carve to shape and could be easy enough to wrap with leather or fabric. The cost is less than $15 or so for a pair at Winners

And maybe store your Flightmaster along with this photo as a non-toxic cat repellent 😁

I can see the accident report now for the $80 mill F16.
" Well I tossed the cat in the air as I went into the dive and as gravity returned he sorta bumped into a whole lot of switches........"

Do you feel that the top brass might ask some searching questions?

Looks great!

Can you build me a coffin... between the missed garbage & recycling bullshit of earlier today and my freshly scratched to shit 3861 from the ill-fitting Uncle Seiko endlink I'm ready for something different.

Haha! Hang in there. I had not heard about your US scratches. You are having a crap week. I had the US off my FOIS this week and the endlinks did not scratch it. No coffin for you yet. Be a coffin dodger for as long as you can!

Photos. (And then show me what you use).
There was a request to see what others use, so maybe I can get things rolling.

I don't have any pets, but I do have two young boys who like to hold a watch to the ear to hear the tic, tic, tic. So I keep this old, dinged-up wooden valet up on a highboy dresser. With a handy lid for discreetness.

No new watches here.

Looking forward to your dive-themed project.

That’s cool @Duracuir1 fine leather goods. (I can tell you love that flightmaster I hope to obtain one of those or an MK someday as I love those crazy thick watches something about that just gets me. For now I make do with my seiko Vaders.
Love that box and I could use it for the same purpose. I keep tomorrows watch in my Walrus branded @Duracuir1 fine leather goods pouch on my night table as Maharishi Yogi, who can scamper through crazy obstacles like Tom Cruise mission impossible stuff but with no damage but he is truly dedicated to knocking items off tables, just to hear them smash. If I leave a bare watch out he will knock it off the night table, if it’s in the fine leather goods pouch he usually just sniffs it and gives it a few paw taps. I guess he can tell it’s not worth knocking over as it won’t produce damage. As Dan noted your leather work which already was great is looking even better.

Love that pen holder! Now that I've seen it, I have to look for something similar. I like just about anything marine-themed.

My Montblanc Solitaire Around the World in 80 Days edition would certainly sit well in a holder like that

If you can find a couple of matching pen docks send me a message. If it serves as its intended purpose I will be happy to know that. We can discuss terms on PM.
