A few years ago I had the pleasure of blasting through Napa for 20-25 minutes in a Ferrari California T courtesy of a winery.

Other nice cars I've driven include the E60 M5 6MT and Bentley Continental GT.

I have tested in the past standard, good and sometimes sportive cars. I remember an S Class 420 diesel V8 with incredible torque ... I didn’t expected such a big car can move so agile.

Of course, a Tesla S Model with ludicrous mode ... what an acceleration.

Those were more impressive to me than a 911 GT3 (I was prepared for that).

From the cars I had... well, now I have a boring 7 series from BMW, high end car but no emotional. I really enjoyed my first car, paid with bank debt while studying and two jobs, it was a RENAULT 19 with an injection engine 16 valves (probably not so common on the States, but truly it was in Europe). Mine was red (pictures comes from internet).

I did my apprenticeship as a mechanic (as they were called back then) with a Jaguar specialist back in the mid 1970’s. Apart from the Jaguars we used to get many other exotics like Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Jensen (Interceptors) Rolls Royce, MG etc. One of my favourite cars to drive and look at was a duck egg blue Aston Martin DB6 Vantage Volante. The car was owned by a guy that used to drive it hard but also look after it.

I went on to work for manufacturers like Bentley, Audi, Porsche etc. so had the opportunity to drive many nice cars over the years.

For cars that I have owned there has been many but two will remain in my heart forever.
My S1 Lotus Elan that I purchased in 1984 in cardboard boxes and spent the next four years and three months rebuilding.
I painted it dark blue originally: Seen below just after it was finished next to the chassis of a mates that i put together.

i soon changed the colour to the original white as the brutal Australian sun played havoc with the fibreglass and dark colour.

old photo with a mates Cobra replica.

I sold it in 2001 and this is how it is today. Still white.

The other is the last car that I owned, 996 Turbo S, six speed manual. What a great car..

I used to work in a collision shop and various dealerships and have had the opportunity to drive many nice cars.
The Most expensive car I've driven : S55 AMG very luxurious.
Most fun cars I recall driving were an old 911, BMW 330ci, Infinity G35 Coupe, Several Honda S2000's, and a butt-load of Miata's..
I've probably owned over 40 cars in my life, some nice and many clunkers, but my all time favorites are my current 2000 Tundra (260k) and my wife's old 2001 Accord Lx 4dr V6...I loved that car. Flawless service for 213k before we sold it to a friend who's still driving it.
Happy motoring to you all.. Be safe !

Hmm...define "nice"? Maybe not my favorite car I have ever driven (actualy I'm quite certain it is not my favorite) but probably the "nicest".

And the "nicest" car I've owned? Probably my 2006 A4 that I had from '09-'11?

I’d never own one though because I’d probably kill myself in it within a few days. This car is meant for the autobahn and is more automobile than anyone needs. The nicest car that I’ve ever owned is my current ride, a Mazda 6 - in my opinion, some of the most gorgeous sheet metal currently on the road at any price and a cabin to match. It’s a car that looks and drives way above its price class.

Nicest car I've driven is also one I've owned....Mercedes E55 V8 Kompressor. Handbuilt Supercharged V8, overdrive pulley and reprogrammed ECU. The most luxurious rocket ship I've ever driven. 650hp/650tq. Absolutely effortless to drive and then put your foot in it it growls like a lion and launches forward.

2nd place is my mid life crisis car...but what could top the E55 Mercedes? Well a Shelby GT500 does, that's what. After race tuning, 700hp/700tq. The most visceral experience of any car I've owned. I owned it for years and never really figured out the radio because I never used it. The engine music was so intoxicating. There is nothing like a supercharged engine at full power 7,000rpm. Insane. The very opposite of the ultra smooth Mercedes. The Shelby was like riding on the back of a tiger, and you love every second of it. I tell everyone that asks that it gets more smiles per mile of any car I've ever owned. Went through $8,000 worth of tires in 40,000miles.

The first car I’ve owned was a 87 Saab 900 turbo. Black with plum interior. A turning radius superior to anything else I’ve driven, except for the 87 Volvo wagon. I miss them both

I’m a pickup truck guy but I’ve owned and driven some nice cars. For raw power and driving thrills i had a 2008 Shelby Super Snake convertible. You pay attention when you’re playing with that much horsepower or you’re upside down....
I then had a 2015 Jaguar F-Type R. The Jag was amazing to drive and the exhaust sound was magnificent. Very fast and actually fairly easy to drive. For an all round vehicle, one of the nicest I’ve ever driven is my wife’s Range Rover Velar. It’s a beautiful vehicle to drive and ride in.

Nice to hear that about the F-Type R; the odd one comes up second hand at pretty reasonable prices now. If I didn't have the Aston round my neck like a millstone (i.e. spent way more than could realise for a good few years to come) - the R would be a nice option...

The Jaguar F-Type R is a sexy beast. That exhaust note is just intoxicating. I'd seriously consider buying one if I wasn't so concerned about the maintenance costs.

Compared to keeping the ‘70’s Aston on the road maintenance would be spare change!

‘68 Ford Mustang was my first car, which I still own. BMW 428i is the current DD. They fit both categories but don’t make me decide what goes where.

I am not sure this fits into any of the categories for most but my car history is quite unimpressive. I did get to drive Tony Ponds Isle of Man TT lap record holding Rover when I did my Racing Licence at Thruxton in 1990. Historic at least. The man driving it like I did not below.

Favorite car ever driven is easy, this 2009 Scuderia that I’ve had the luck to drive on some of Italy’s most exciting tracks / road trips (Mugello, Imola, Monza). love the understated dark grey color on such cars, not a fan of red with stripes. What a sound this engine makes!

The nicest I’ve owned is easy as I only owned 2, but it’s my current 2011 Cayman. As an all round car, it’s just perfect. Big boot, glorious 6 cyl sounding engine, I drove it to my wedding, already have strong memories with it. But I still miss my silly 500 Abarth though :D

The nicest to drive and own have been the Morgan roadster, which we still have, is good looking and great to drive and the Alfa giulietta sprint, which we sold quite a few years ago. Ours had a single carb and struggled in the mountains but the cabin was a nice place to be.
