    Hi folks

I have a Speedmaster I bought a while back that was sent in just some small plastic protective case (oriignal box and papers long gone)

That's fine but I'd like to keep it in a nice cardboard watch box.

Where can I buy one? Simple black or white, quality construction, smart looking.

    Thanks!

Like this (as far as I can recall my IWC box is just card, no wood involved)

It's just for keeping the watch in when not used and also for if I choose to sell it in the future.

Why don’t you find an original Omega box that matches the vintage of your watch then. What year is the watch?

Yes that's not a bad idea - it's a 345.0808 from the 80s (the one with the display back and copper movement)

I think the box was green not red - am I correct? Much harder to find. I could get a red Omega box but to be honest, I don't like them very much lol.

Just a simple black or white box would be preferable. Maybe eBay is the place - Google wasn't much help.

    Thanks.

Quite a few choices there - the older and newer style boxes.

Congrats for a great watch ! Unless it was bought in Germany or neighbouring countries and came with a specific box and certificate telling the story of the watch (see pictures : http://www.moonwatchonly.com/omega-...iews/the-first-steel-model-with-display-back/) it could have been sold in any of the (big) boxes at that time.
    MWO suggest this Burgundy box:

    from a recent auction: https://www.fratellowatches.com/speedmaster-geneva-auction-results/

    or the grey box:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OMEGA-GEN...ATION-BOX-SEAMASTER-SPEEDMASTER-/253095624048Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

that can easily be found in better shape than in the above ebay listing.

Not sure what it originally contained, but I got an Omega from a German seller in this dinky little wooden box

Otherwise, the Omega "transit" cases are pretty nice (with or without the hard plastic shell)

Hope you find what you are looking for ;)

I ended up buying a simple black square box from Ali baba in China lol... not sure what it'll be like yet, very cheap obviously. If it's garbage I'll bin it and look for an old Omega box perhaps! Thanks for suggestions.
