    Thanks Tom
    that's really really nice
one of the quirkier crossed-T Connies -after close comparison with the same on Desmond's site the fonts look absolutely legit.
-not at all sure about that crown though!

at the risk of pushing my luck with your assistance -is there just one pic and how much is it going for ?
(yes I know -I should probably give up on my principles and sign up)

having 'bailed out' on an 18ct Connie at the weekend I was quite excited about the possibility of this watch
especially when Geordie kindly supplied a pic

I was sooooo excited that I even joined Facebook to see more pics -after many many (many) years of swearing I would never do so.

as a crossed-T waffle-dial Connie -it would be a nice bonus to add to the 18ct gold case

The quirky 'Constellation' looks good -so I began scouring the dial -as best I can with the pics supplied -for any signs of 'messing'

The dial is worn -so could account for some inconsistencies -but something started to bother me
cross hair doesn't go through star -but this isn't always conclusive of a redial
cross hair doesn't go through the pointed arch of the 'M' -so I looked for any others that might be like that

As I searched I found one example of the cross hair missing the M - this past post from OF -May '14 - with better pics

    14ct 2652
    same watch -different crown!

    comments:
can't find another example of an Omega with 'flat A' for Omega
dots on 4,5, 8, just slightly off
some inconsistencies on the minute markers

looks to me as though it was 'done up' before it hit the OF for sales section last year

    comments welcomed

The watch doesn't do it for me - the combination of the average 14k case with the average to below average movement and average to below average (though original and textured and cleaned) don't add up well. The sum is less than the parts.

    Thanks for the comment MSN
I agree that it doesn't do to advertise a 14ct watch as 18ct -that's for sure!
-and I haven't shown it but the stars on the medallion are a little worn too

I'm still learning -but I don't think that all of the font is original?
In 'Omega' -the peculiar G, the flat A
and the 'Chronometre' letters are off too -esp the M -neither upright nor properly splayed
the line misses the star -and the point of the M -one might be forgiven but both?
the dots don't line up with the 5 min markers and some are closer to the markers than others -Omega just doesn't do that.

    -all just a little off?

The font is original - the very early constellations (ref. 2648 and ref. 2652) had some variations in the font and especially the ones with textured dials. As I had mentioned, this dial looks original to me (but cleaned).
