Too much of the indices lume is missing for my taste... i.e., not a good-looking dial, IMO...

Can't disagree regarding the lume. If important, It is a drawback of this watch. The movement number seems a wee bit high (according to MWO and speedmaster101.com) as well.

However, if you subtract $1200 - $1500 for what appears to be a nice, tight original to the watch 1506/16, you are left with $4500 - $4800 for the watch head. Maybe less since the listing accepting offers. Not a bad price for an honest watch in today's market, IMHO.

This watch was also serviced recently according to the listing, and has a replacement service crown. A real shame if the watch is a survivor all this time and was only during the recent service that the original vintage crown was removed.

I don't know...

That dial has just lists all its character and does absolutely nothing for me.

Only really worth it if someone has a dial to use.

Well it is marketed at a price just high enough for those of us with one to wince a little, and cheap enough to make a first time buyer take it for fear of losing out.

It's rare at the moment to find a half decent 105.012 but this does have problems, the lume already mentioned, and the case corrosion.

Another problem, for me, is that it does not attract me quite.....
(It's early morning here....never good to revew a watch before 4 cups of coffee...)

As for those bracelet calculations, I leave that up to those who understand them, I do not. Bracelets on these early watches are challenging to maintain, and I am not confident of their security in use.

I think I agree this might sell at this level.

I will watch

Perhaps you aren't confident about this 1506/16 bracelet because you are having nightmares of a similar, but abused, bracelet on your Salvation Army 105.012. You can get therapy for that, you know.

I was looking at it too but there were just too many problems (as have been mentioned above). As many others with more experience than I have said, better to buy 1 in good condition than 3 or 4 that you'll regret.

Is the serial number 245...... okey? According to chronomaddox it's more like a 1967 movement?

Serial 24530xxx is slightly out of range for the 65, but still before the 66. May just be a not yet seen outlier.

But late production should usually come with spaced T dial.

It still lasts... You're not promoting it enough...😉

Yup. Gemini4 kiss of death. I let the watch and the ugly dial float like the Yuan. Letting the market decide.
