Big fan of Newmark (recently rejuvenated British brand with military pedigree). This latest offering, launched this week, is a classic field watch design in 3 colourways utilising a Seiko mecca quartz movement. At under £200 this is quality at a bargain price. I own three (6BB, NP and 71) and can't wait to get my hands on this one soon too. Highly recommended. https://newmarkwatchcompany.com/newmark52field/
Exactly how does the current brand have a "military pedigree"? Pedigree Among other meanings: "the history or provenance of a person or thing, especially as conferring distinction."
Received an email yesterday and as an owner of two 'Newmark' pieces and I do appreciate each to their own but I was disappointed in the dials. I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt as the images I found bordering on terrible but I suspect I am growing soft in my old age ?
I personally can't see anything terrible about the photos. For other pics check out #newmark52 on Instagram and there's soon to be a review on Watchgecko'.
Here's the Watchgecko review: https://www.watchgecko.com/hands-on-with-the-newmark-52-watch/ With regards to a military pedigree. The brand and its name were revived and purchased officially. The previous Newmark models were officially issued to the military and the current models are based on previous releases that Newmark produced, all be they now modernized, in size etc. So the name has pedigree and the name continues.
Interesting that the movement ticks 4 times a second, so it almost replicates the look of an 18,000BPH movement.
They are nicer in the metal...this is the Black Gilt dial. Wears large for a 37 mm bezel (40 mm case). Excuse the dust...quick iPhone pic
