I recently posted asking for some advice and, as a result, was contacted by a member here. Suffice to say, a week later I have a 145.022-69 in superb condition on my wrist ... and it's hard to stop looking at it.

So, thank you to that member and to those who helped with advice. In return, there are photos below. You can see the colour of the dial compared to a still black Mk II, as well as the ghosted bezel and if you have a look at the 4 o clock on the bezel ....

I think my scale must need recalibration.

:) OK ... in just the sort of condition I really like with the odd dent and mark that shows it's had a life ... a bit like me ... I carry a few dents of my own.

There's no need for that sort of language on a public forum ...

.... I spoke to STS yesterday ... it's going for a visit in the new year. Then all I need to do is find an immaculate 1039 at a boot sale for £10.

Looks nice and sharp. The bezel is awsome and the 220 misprint is a great benefit as well. Congrats. Wear it with pride[emoji4]

And you'll need a JB Champion, too.

Is that right for a 1970 watch?
