Newbie. Which Seamaster

New member looking at buying my first Omega Seamaster...probably looking at around early 2000's 41mm case and looking at around the £2000 to £2500 mark.
So the question is what models best, any thoughts gratefully received. Probably with a none coloured bezel as I intend to wear it daily so thinking it will reduce the noticability of scratches.
Thoughts on best model for the bucks (or pounds in my case)
Cheers

You want the 2254.50 Peter Blake. 41mm, classic design, great lume, and in your price range. Great for daily wear.

I have mines on a NATO strap but it comes with a bracelet.

Nice but thinking for a daily wearer that perhaps the all chrome bezel would show less marks....or am I wrong?

The 2230.50 is a fantastic watch but perhaps the solid gold bezel doesn’t take a battering as well as some other models in my experience. It can go yellow if it gets a beating. If you want plain metal which can be polished you want the 2255.80, that one is pretty tough.

Hi,
I don’t have the collection many here will be able to compare against, but this has been my daily wearer for 20+ years (including many car repairs and building projects you realise part way through you should have taken the thing off before you began!). Dresses up and down with different straps/bracelets and seems to have come through fairly well - the bezel does pick up scratches, but I only really notice them looking closely in bright sunlight. I believe mine is 2231.80 and realise titanium isn’t everyone’s cup of tea as a case material, but the engineer in me loves it and still makes me smile whenever I put it on, and seems quite forgiving of scratches as the material naturally oxidises. Hope this helps

Save up another 500 quid and you could probably get the latest ceramic bezel version? Just a thought, depends on which dial & hands appeal.
