Back to the original post. Take a look at the sales section of onthedash to see a pre-moon Speedy that was posted today. [Mods-Delete if inappropriate.] No comment about the watch but the seller seems to be well known there.

I think this is the watch you were speaking of, is that right?

It's in great shape, but it's not the bezel I'm looking for. Maybe someone can tell me whether that's even an original bezel to the 145.012. It's not the one I'm used to seeing. Thanks for letting me know though. I appreciate you being on the lookout!

That's a genuine '60's pulsations bezel which was an option on Speedmasters at the time.

Modern versions are sometimes fitted when the original bezel is knackered, but this is contemporary to the watch and probably original.

I have only skipped over this thread but my two cents would be the rules (although slightly tedious) are there for a reason. 200 posts isnt a lot but it is a nice safety net to have, I am also willing to bet it filters out a lot of potential fraudsters.

I came to this site, like many, in search of a nice Speedmaster. I was able to identify the reputbale members\sellers and contact them directly. Being able to build a rapport with some very knowledgable members (who to be honest didnt know me from Adam) was a massive help in my search for watch.

I hadn't noticed but you're right. Does that make them later hands though, or was there more than one length variant?

I have to admit I'm quite tempted by that piece.
