The A386 looks amazing, the Chronomaster 2 is nice and I love the watch box. But personally I'd pass on the defy. Interesting to see what they come up with for the 1/1000th of a second watch.

The A386 replica looks spot on, other 2 are nice but...
Personally, I would find an excellent condition vintage A386, skip the others, and keep the extra $49K+ in the bank.

How is it priced at 50k chf or $69k?? 50k chf works out around $50.2k at the current spot rate. Even PayPal will give a better exchange rate!

I feel like a moth drawn to the light with the A386 .I know I won't buy one ,but just can't stop looking it's almost hypnotic .

I like the subdial spacing on the Defy! Maybe an optical illusion but they don't look smashed together.

I have jokingly suggested in the past that Zenith should create an XL-Primero to get around that cross-eyed look in the 42mm and larger cases... doesn't look like the 3600 pulls that off.

Ha! Similar thinking with the "50" pricing for 50th anniversary?

I am really a Omega Fan, but the 386A is an icon. I love that watch, the caliber and the dial. I think this watch will get more attention in the future. The 50th is only a stop on this way. I am not the biggest fan of remakes but this triology is something special. The good point here, the price helps me to decide not to buy a set

I'm not sure I quite 'get' the trilogy they've gone for here. The three watches are very different and only the 386 is a nod to an iconic model of the past.

Seems like they've said "have an almost perfect replica of the A386, but you'll also have to pay top dollar for these additional watches that you may or may not care for".

I think they’re going for a past-present-future of the El Primero kind of thing.

I think this is the beginning of the "new" zenith and I love that they are embracing their wonderful vintage history. I would also contrast this strategy of *not* releasing the a386 remake on its own - you have to buy the full set - vs omega's approach which seems to be to carpet bomb the world with as many LEs as they can sell.

I also quite like that they copied the vintage piece and yet made the caseback see through so no one will be mistaking this new watch with the genuine article.

All that said.. I'd go for a vitnage a386 any day of the week. Or better yet.. An a3818!

Apparently the A386 Revival will be available by itself later in the year.

Out of interest, if an original A386 was “laser-scanned” to produce this "exact replica", where are the case bevels?

The new model number is 03.A386.400. I assume the '03' refers to third version?
