    Hello
Some weeks ago , looking in my parts box , I found this faded bezel (almost silver) I had forgotten I bought years ago , decided to install it in my 105003 and quite happy with the result :).

A pleasure to share with you some pics:thumbsup:

    Thanks for looking

I love a nice faced bezel.

Mine isn't quite a ghost but a nice faded grey.

very nice picture series  and the look is much cooler now. Those 105.003 are rarely seen on the old metal bracelets. Looks great!

What tool did you use to remove/attach the bezel?

Ah yes I've seen Williams poker chip bezel remover. Did you use a regular bezel press to re-attach?

Thanks. I'm going to have to invest in one.

Great piece btw. That bezel really suits the dial and falls into that thin area where a watch has a great faded patina but manages to not look tired and washed out like they so often can with extreme fading.

The faded bezel does look good on the Ed White reference, especially when the case is that nice and sharp by contrast, it makes the rest of the watch stand out even more as crisp and clean.

That's a great look! And having the choice of a few bezels means you can make your watch new again every now and then.

And since no one else has, dibs!

I love faded bezels also but couldn't locate one so I cheated and did this myself. Not everyone's cup of tea but the watch will never be sold and I like it.....

I have seen posts where people fade Rolex sub and GMT bezels with bleach (I think some dilute it with water), so I guess that might work with a Speedy bezel. One of the tells is that the paint on the back of the Rolex insert fades in the bleach, which wouldn't happen to a bezel insert which was naturally faded by sunlight. Now that Speedy bezel inserts are starting to climb in price I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing more chemical fading of inserts in the Omega world. I think it would be more difficult to tell on a Speedy bezel, because you don't have a clear view of the back of the painted bezel insert (even when it is off the watch) like you do with a Rolex.

I haven't tried it myself, but I do not have a problem with the technique as long as it is disclosed if/when the part or watch trades hands.

I like the worn and beat look on some watches. Nice change,
