Cool. I don't see the glossy dial that we were talking about before. in fact, it looks quite matte to me. Wonder what the pro's think of this.... estimate of 9434 EUR?

Agreed - you have to ask WoK for high def photos, then they email it to you. I'm not sure why they don't just put them up on the site...

 

Is the flaking paint on the red hand near the central pinion a concern or a good sign?

 

It shows that the hand has very likely been on and off a couple of times.

 

A bargain? did I hear others being offered at $45K and $80K?

I do not see the appeal in what are essentially normal speedmasters fitted with what looks like a splinter of carrot or a coloured toothpick.

$80,000 for that?

I am sorry but why would you pay that when you could get a new ST2 Ultraman which is far better for around 90% less?

Or you could get a normal speedy for around half of that!

Apologies if I'm missing the point here, but this is all my opinion and I would never spend that kind of money on such a watch.

 

Dial don't look very shiney to me.

It's the same as people paying double for a Rolex dial with an underline, or the red submariner line of text, or exclamation mark etc.

Perceived exclusivity and rarity that I agree, is way way over valued

 

I would love to see an ultraman with the "satin" finish dial to compare against. Seems like all the ones for sale recently do not have this dial?
