Just received a new strap for my old 105.003, I really wanted a more 'distressed' leather look, more vintage, the old girl is 49 this year after all! Also like the idea of a Nato, for strap security mainly, but also think it adds to the tool look of the watch. However, was put off initially by the thickness of the leather on most of the Nato's I looked at - would have caused the watch head to sit too high.

Eventually found the ideal strap, with thinner leather and a proper 'vintage' look in brown with brown stitching, courtesy of Jan at Janko Straps. Can't recommend Jan enough, a really decent chap to deal with, and the strap is very well made, exactly what I'd wanted. I shall alternate between this and the old 7912 for the time being, well until something else catches my eye!
