Hi Guys -

Long time watch collector, but this is my first Omega. A new speedmaster sapphire sandwich.

A few pictures for you. I took off the original strap and put on a nice leather Hirsch. The extra straps that came with it (velcro etc) will stay safe and sound in the box.





The watch wears super comfortable and is nice and light on the leather strap. Not sure which I prefer better as a daily, this or my 14060M subby.

I assume you have one of these in the collection? I can confirm it goes very well with an Elise R!

Not much in terms of horology but a must for the club meets. Actually designed by Lotus to resemble a brake disc and caliper.

Happens to us all

 

I'm an ex owner after something broke or fell off my Elise 111s (only car for three years from new) everyday for a week; including a snapped boot cable for the third time.... the lotus dealers had another acronym - TADTS. Short for 'They All Do That Sir'. I swapped it for a hot hatch and three motorbikes, and if I'm honest I've not really missed it.

They do surface in the bay from time to time. Biggest problem is the special rubber strap. I have not found anything similar, and they will eventually need replacement.
The watch was released in 2005 and only sold through Lotus AD.
