Is it me or are those new Tudor gmt's flying out the window? I see dealers selling their last ones above retailprice and the waitinglists get longer and longer. It seems a succes... What do you see?

None of the AD's around here have any in stock, nor are they taking additional names for wait lists. It seems pretty successful in this area.

After Basel I called round several London ADs and most already had very long waiting lists or wanted full-price deposits which I didn’t do. I figured if I get one I do, if not then never mind, maybe I’ll get one in a few years. Turns out I got my name on a list (I didn’t even remember doing that) and got the call a couple of weeks ago. It’s a lovely watch and am really glad I got it, especially when I rationalise it by saying it marks an important personal milestone.

Hard to find this year (it's the hot new watch), easy to find next year (everyone who wanted one bought one), available for a discount at ADs and on the secondary market in two years (the first wave of buyers will see some decide not to keep it)

Hah it's not a dig, just going by what occurred with the original Black Bay, then the Blue, then the Black.

You can lose your mind overpaying for one now, or sit tight and get a good deal on one in a year or two. I know which path I'll choose :)

Isn’t there a problem with the date on some?

Anecdotally I've heard on other forums about the date wheel sticking in between dates and skipping days.

My local AD reckons I could get one in January. Says he got 4 around release, has two due for delivery this September and next spot on the list is due in early '19. I'm sorely tempted

Meierotto Jewelers in KC had one when I was in visiting KC a couple weeks ago. I wanted it but it was leather band so I passed.

I found a steel one at EUR 3680. Still thinking about it. Somehow I have the feeling this could be a iconic watch...

You're looking at the correct model. There are several for sale on Chrono24. List price on these is $3900 USD - looks like AD's are marking them up and selling online.

It’s a fantastic looking watch and think it might be difficult to find a good preowned one in a years time. The reaction has been so much stronger than previous BBays and with it being an alternative to the Rolex (and being realized at the same time), they are reaping the benefits. Solid business strategy. Great value and look...a hit!

Still looking at that BB58 though...
