New to me aka it had to happen!

Had a Baltic Aquascaphe in steel, loved it but ended up passing along to a fellow member. Have long wanted a bronze watch. So when the two met I knew eventually I’d add one. Then found this beaut, with sweet patina and you all know the rest… it had to happen!

Now, what I can’t quite get over is this:

First 300 we’re numbered. HOW did Baltic not keep number 1??? Well, I’m glad they didn’t and I’m glad I stumbled across this. She’s a keeper for me!!!

Wow sure enough it’s the one they used for photos on the Baltic website. Reviewed models have different numbers. (Hodinkee had 27x or similar)

VERY cool! I didn’t realize that. Might have to reach out to them, see if there’s a story about how this made it into circulation. Maybe there’s not, maybe they just kept the prototype and sold this off. Very curious.

The same way Omega made a number eleven in the Apollo 11 Speedmaster and then sold it.

Finally able to get her out into some sun. As always, incredibly impressed with Baltic!

Was sorely tempted … I just love this company. I wonder how long it will be before one of the holding companies snatch them up.

It’s a matter of time before someone comes at them with a sweaty wad of money…then it will be like Tom’s toothpaste - corrupted and homogenized by Colgate for your capitalist pleasure.

Not saying it would be a good thing, but their profile seems to be eclipsing their peers. Still a joy to do business with. Had a bit of a problem with a strap recently and they quickly sent me a new one.

I dig the beige-ish lume, matches the bronze colour scheme. Is it considered superluminova?

It is listed as superluminova on their website. I’ve definitely had brighter lume, but it gets the job done. All in all, I’m in love!

I noticed a good sixty or more degree difference in the placement of the caseback from their picture to yours. Quite revealing.


Sales dink: Just unscrew the back until the diver is swimming horizontal for the promo shot. No one will ever know.

Good eye, I didn't even notice that! I'll take proper water resistance and diver swimmer up (to resurface?) any day!
