    Hi all

I have a new account with eBay, correctly set up with PayPal linked.

I have so far bid on two auctions, and on both occasions my bid was either removed or asked to be removed.

Obviously because I am new. I do sort of understand that some new bidders will not fulfill their obligations.

But, how can I go forward?

    Advice?

    Thanks

    Kobus

bid on some low value things, get good feedback, bid on higher value things.

It's annoying but I've been on the other side recently with people bidding and not paying so I understand why people aren't willing to deal with people with no feedback.

Message the seller upfront, explain your situation and they may allow your bid.

Buy some pencils, a book, anything to get off of zero and establish a few good feedbacks.

One hint don't buy or sell anything to Nigeria as they wont always leave feedback as the pencil was not in the box you sent and the book will be a rock you bought..... Just type Ebay scams into Google

Many buyers still just don't leave feedback in my experience. So purchase say 10 small-value items and sell them (probably for a loss), you'll get 6 or 7 feedbacks.
Also, as suggested before - message the seller before bidding. When I first started out I had a seller contact me before removing my bid, but most won't be so proactive.

Bid in the last few seconds. Do not allow the seller time to remove your bid. Pay right away and the seller will be obligated to sell the item.
