New SS Pie Pan Constellation 168.005 Acquired

I want to share a new acquisition that arrived by FedEx this afternoon. I've been searching for a nice stainless steel example for a while. I have a nice dome dial Constellation and a 14k gold 168.005 already so this will round out the collection nicely. This popped up on eBay last week. Bought it for $1,650 plus shipping and tax ($1,865 total).

In my eyes, it's absolutely beautiful. My thoughts on the watch are listed below.

I would love to get everyone's opinion on anything that I missed.

Case: Nice sharp lugs and probably lightly polished in the past. Caseback and stars look sharp. Crown is the original decagon crown.

Dial: Pie pan dial is clean. Onyx insert markers. Font is crisp and correct. Minute markers are also crisp. Dial looks original to me. The only thing that stands out to me is the date wheel. It has a little more patina compared to the dial but it's very slight so I don't know if it comes through the pictures.

Hands: hand style look correct to me.

Crystal: Crystal has the Omega logo in the center. There is a small gouge around the 6 and 7 o'clock position.

Movement: Cal 564 movement. Quick set date works. It looks surprising clean when I opened it so not sure if it's been serviced. The seal is still yellow so maybe not. I didn't put it on my timegrapher yet.

Looks like a great purchase to me! The dial looks pretty good, so does the movement. No eye-catching scratches on the crystal. The case also looks quite sharp, except for reasonable signs of wear and maybe a very nicely done polishing (which seems rather a blessing in this case, if done at all). A very small concern (and question to more senior experts) is, the medallion looks a bit too crisp and seemingly has a matte pattern which I am not familiar with. Overall, a lovely piece and hope you'll wear it on many good times!

P.s.: my exact same model, acquired from an OF member, is also on the way and I can't wait!

Aren鈥檛 you supposed to suffer through several mocha-chino dialed, lozenge polished, mismatched movement parts watches before you get to this? You jumped the line!

The medallion popped out to me at as well. It seems too clean but the stars are in the right place and the interior text, font, and placement looks fine to me. I know there are fake cases but they're normally pretty obvious. This one looks real to me.

All thanks to this forum! Took over a year of looking and waiting for the right one. There were some tempting posts in the Private Sales forum but I knew I wouldn't be happy unless the dial is clean and lugs were sharp for SS version. Never settle.

Added bonus. It came with an Omega buckle. Per the Buckle thread, this is a more modern MG buckle.

Very nice @Zman4eva - congratulations.

All looks very good to me, including the 'frosted' medallion.
SGR Constellation cases of this era have a polished field with an etched medallion - it's just that yours is in such good condition that it looks too good to be true.
I haven't read the bit of the buckle thread mentioned above but I don't see why the buckle can't be correct for a late 60s Omega.

There has been lengthy discussion around the circle on the rotor - meaning it is a replacement - so the movt may have been serviced but I can't see any service marks inside the case back.

I never noticed the circle on the rotor before. Not surprised that it's been replaced. The movement does look very clean.
