New SM300 165.024!

Bump! I finally got around to visiting the Omega boutique in Chicago and ordered an Extract of the Archives for my SM300. When i bought this watch it came with an "original" warranty card that had been filled out by a dealer in Mexico City. I am pleased to say that the extract would seem to support this.

Thanks to the many OF members who offered advice and assisted with my purchase. This is such a great community.

Regarding the hands: my watchmaker stabilised the hands by laquering the back-side. Great idea, great result and the originality is preserved.



I personally would NEVER relume , even if the lume of the hands are completely gone.

My 165.014 had the same treatment. It had a bit missing in one hand, so that was filled with a SL paste of the same colour (about30% of the hand). And then both hands stabilised with a lacquer to some sort.
