New Seamaster 300m - Lume color inconsistency

Hi all.

I recently purchased a new Omega Seamaster Professional from a reputable authorized dealer. I noticed a slightly different lume colour on the hour hand compared to the indexes and minute hand after wearing it for a week. It is visible depending upon light circumstances. It shows more blue-ish or grey-ish. During night time the lume on the hour hand is also less bright initially - it does not get charged as much as the other lume markers.

The dealer offered to send it in to Omega for a hand replacement (I have it a couple of weeks now). But I am quite hesitant to do so, as I do not want to miss it, but also, I do not want to end up with other issues with a potential repair as they obviously need to open it up. Other than this optical deviation, the watch is great and runs great.

Do others recognize these kind of inconsistencies?

Indeed, but the marker on the hour hand is not the same colour as the indexes. More blue/grey depending on light conditions

Normal. My Diver 300 is the same way, green minute hand and blue everything else.

I think the OP is talking about the lume color in its non-charged daylight state. Look at the round "dot" portion of the hour hand ... it appears to be slightly off color.
OP - understanding your watch is new and you hope for perfection, I think you are better off just living with the variance. I would likely just wait for your first service (several years away) Omega will change the hands at that time.

Yes that was my first thought as well. For the price I was/am in doubt to just “demand” a solution. But, this would come with significant downsides as missing the watch for a couple of weeks and risk of damage / other issues after repair

I'm pretty OCD, but I myself wouldn't stress too much about it. It's a gorgeous watch, just enjoy it.

Helpful - OCD and these “imperfections” do not go along well. Thanks!
