He has always cheated by posting fantastic watches on "WRUW", and dog pictures.
Just to clarify that I am joking with Stuart, his fantastic collection and positive, friendly advice for many years has led to his being so well liked.
Sandy (the beagle) actually has more likes than Stuart!
Nice pocket

He does win for best Post farm of all time
Is it possible that there is some hacking going on? A couple of these post farming incidents seem to be people who have joined a while back, and then suddenly get an attack of post diarrhea that seems out of character. I mean, I have periods where I'm inactive, and then might post on several topics a day for a while, but not dozens at once.
Let's not carried away with the posts:likes ratio. I'll be the first to admit that I'm sufficiently insecure to care about my posts being liked, but posting regularly in WRUW is an easy way to bump up the ratio.
Exactly. Telling people some hard truths or spending time helping out with research is a poor way of gaining likes. And I feel the same regarding 'likes insecurity' as you!
Boobs and kittens you say…
Or people simply suddenly want to sell something and realize they can’t. So they flood and hope to remain under the radar...

I don't have a problem with that. If they were cynically only here to sell they would join and rush their post count up asap. Those who are inactive but then want to sell something don't strike me as the people the rule is designed to stop.
I still think there should be a dump & run thread- you get one post- show what you want to dump- no comments, if someone wants it then they can PM. Then you leave.
That way we can dispense with the game and just put the cards on the table
