I think the word I'd choose is "pathetic." Whatever happened to that beautiful economy thread where the economic experts of OF explain how the economy REALLY works to the grass-munching herd? I can barely get myself out of bed each morning without their sage pronouncements and predictions.

It doesn't keep me entertained, but it does make me wish some here had hobbies. Might I suggest making masks for hospital personnel?
And ZIELSZIEK, you're just as qualified as anyone to identify bullshit. You are spot on.

I just looked. The guy has SEVEN mother f ing posts. Leave the guy ALONE.
Is it time for your nap? Firstly you seem to be answering a question no one asked, secondly if you look at my post, it is clear the guy is speed posting and had posted over 20 times since yesterday. Now he has 7. Either he saw sense or equally likely a mod deleted some of his contributions. Either outcome suggests my post had the desired effect.

Take a breath before you make yourself look shouty and ill informed.

You know you're welcome to leave if you don't like it here right?

No one is forcing you to stay and "put up" with us.

Fun fact: almost all of his posts with more than 3 words have been removed.
Apparently everyone would be better off if he sticks with posting pictures.

it’s almost as entertaining as trying to guess where the economy is heading (inside joke) 😜

Easy-Peasy.....up and down then down and up.

That's "like" farming and the "like" police haven't been assigned yet!
We've had distinguished members here build "like" empires on pictures......mainly boobs and kittens.

I like the 6 months and 200 posts requirement. The quality of the 200 posts I think would be for the moderators to determine. The quality of the posts is not my lane. I do not know a whole lot about watches and probably rarely make a "meaningful" watch related post. As I tell my clients, "We drive our truck, not theirs. We gain nothing by trading paint or putting people in the ditch other than a truck that we need to fix." Let the moderators reduce the posts number as appropriate. I guess I am saying we have have plumbers, let them do the plumbing, while the engineers do the engineering.

Every so often a new member shows up and points out all the things that are "wrong" in their eyes with this forum. Those who have been here for years and who saw the evolution of the rules to the present day understand we are at where we are for a reason.

If the mods see a need to change something, they will. I trust them to have the best overall interests of the forum and it's members in mind when they make their decisions, even if I don't always agree with what they do. It's their forum, and they make the rules. I understand that if I don't like those rules, I'm free to leave at any time. If I question the rules, I generally do so by contacting a mod and discussing it with them, rather than ranting out in the open on the forum.

But we all have different approaches, and have to live with what comes out of those choices.

Personally I don't see the need for a time period before posting items for sale - it has been discussed many times previously. The thing some find offensive (people pointing out the post farming) is the thing I like the most about this forum - the members help look after each other and the forum in general. Personally I just reported one of that posters obvious farming posts, and not long after a bunch of his posts disappear (at the point he had made 17 posts in 30 minutes, and several more right after that).

What some see as vigilantism, is the membership helping out the mods who I'm sure are busy with other things.

Lol, so it is. Back to 200... lol this not being a meaningful post and all. Especially as I don't sell watches, just like I don't sell firearms, it never mattered to me. I do most of my posting on the cellphone, so I have to specifically look to see my post count.

I was thinking Reese's pieces. Gus (the puppy in the avatar photo) can have those and he really likes them. Oh and I like them too... I give them freely, but Gus does not share and he is quick to go after them. At 99 lbs (45kgs for our metric friends), he likes to throw his weight around...
