Local AD sent it off to Omega as they couldn't work on it

just to note it had to go back as when it was returned there was a problem with the watch it stopped apparently a screw came loose in the movement

yes I got all the parts back

Nice pickup!

That's a beautiful watch! It looks even better with it "refreshed"! Congrats on the find!

Outstanding—and thank you for resurrecting the thread once you had the watch overhauled. It looks to me like £700 well-spent! Moreover, it’s always comforting to see a manufacturer has a nice stockpile of replacement parts for a discontinued watch.

If it's not too much to ask when you have a minute if you can take a picture complete with all the extra parts , repair cards, box booklets etc... for a collector's point of view would be great, if not, no sweat , still many thanks for the update

Yes I think he did not like it as he put it up for sale, personally I would have purchase it, most of these watches with precious stone rarely do the pictures actually do them justice , to each is own, that collection in particular is my favorite the Chrono 300 , 1 of 1 watch would have been amazing here are also 2 official variant :

Original brown leather box it came with in the 90's, the box itself is even rarer than the watch:
