Isn't this cheaper and well approved?

No - most brands do not allow the use of Rodico or similar products. Even clean it will leave residue behind, and when used in a huge wad that is kept on the bench, it does nothing but spread the dirt that it picks up all over the dial or movement.

Interesting, but there are already similar products for use on dials, such as Bergeon 7007 Cleaning Sticks.

    I use these every day...

Thanks, that was new to me. I have the feeling that every watchmaker is using it. And I have to admit, to get some dirt from a dial, I use it too.

I bought some cleaning sticks to try, both the 7007-22 (low adherence) and 7007-26 (high adherence) and I am reasonably satisfied, especially with the latter ones. Obviously, they cannot do magic, but superficial residuals are readily removed.
The only thing I don't get is how to use the cleaning pad to clean the sticks. It is mentioned to use isopropyl alcohol to activate the pad. I am not even sure that it is suitable for all the different sticks as only -21/22/23 are mentioned on bergeon website.
Do you have any suggestion on the use of the pad? Thanks

I use the pad by opening it up, and wiping the stick on it - I use a twisting motion to clean the stick . Not complicated really, and there's no "activation" needed as far as I'm concerned. When the pad gets dirty, I just clean it using tap water, use a blow dryer to dry it quickly, and put it back in the plastic container.

Thanks for the advice! Not sure if this would serve my purpose though.

These are carried by watch material suppliers, but I'm sure if you just Google it, you will get results.

How is one supposed to pick up dust particles from a dial using this? Do you cut it in small pieces?
I dont care if its Bergeon or some other brand, but the thing you suggest is not what i was initially asking for.

Of cause i Googled before asking for help. There are few guys offering them on ebay and some for me unknown companies, but the prices vary from 30 to 70 euros, and some charge crazy shipping costs so i thought it would be easier to ask here.
I dont necessarily need Bergeon, could be some other brand.

I wasnt implying to use the Oznow on a watch- just that the same type of material is used for other delicate cleaning. Sorry if I gave the impression I was endorsing that for watch cleaning.
