Depends on your watch-philosophy, I guess. If you’re buying it to keep it in a safe in NOS condition, or to wear it very sparingly and baby it (and I don’t mean for this to sound judgmental—your watch, your choice!), then yes I’d try to sort it out with the AD. But if it has to go to Omega/SWATCH, know that it may well be out of your hands until New Years! You’ll have to wait months to enjoy a watch you just paid $$$$ for. (If the AD has another in stock and can replace it, that’s much better for you.)
If you bought it to wear it, though, I, for one, wouldn’t give this another thought. You can get it taken care of and a few weeks later it’ll have brand new hairlines and scuffs that would have made you forget about that one anyway. I’m pretty mindful of how I treat my watches and my weeks-old SMPc already has scratches on the clasp and bracelet, and I bet I could find one or two on the AR coating if I tried.
I get wanting to start out clean and be solely responsible for every scratch and ding that comes. But this is a cost/benefit thing. It’d drive me nuts to lose the watch to service for months over something so minor—to my eyes. Especially for one I plan to wear regularly.
