New PO coming out soon?

I’m new to the mechanical watch game but have my sights set on a 39.5 PO. I was doing research on this model line and noticed that if it follows past trends that it’s due an update. Looks like there’s a 5-6 year interval between generations.

1st gen 2005
2nd gen 2011
3rd gen 2016
4th gen 2021-2022???

I also noticed that I can’t find a 39.5 stainless steel PO at any physical AD that I’ve visited recently.

Any thoughts on the PO getting an update?

We’ve been predicting a new PO for the past 3 years and nothing so I’m not holding my breath on a new one.

The 39.5 is a unique fit. I like mine, but wish it was 1 mm larger in diameter, and 1.5 mm thinner.

I am also close to pulling the trigger on a PO 39.5 but am waiting for a new release as I would also like it to be a bit thinner. It’s getting late this year for an announcement, so probably not till next year though (just in time for the price increases!).

What about the summer blue versions in 39.5 and 45.5 Ultra Deep? They are new releases and starting to filter through to dealers.

When we say new PO we mean a redesign of the watch and not just new colorways. The watch proportions have been getting worse ever since Omega moved away from the 2500 caliber.

Ok. Guess I misunderstood.
However, I have one of the summer blue 39.5 PO and I would hardly call it out of proportion. Out of the dozen (various makes) I have I would say it fits me better than any of the others.
