I traded some pocketwatch cases for a Seamaster today. I've had quite a few Omega's over the years and this is one I don't remember seeing before. Tried to get several good pics as it is difficult to photograph.

Is anyone familiar with it? It may be my favorite bumper dial. But it could just be the 'new watch effect', lol.

Thanks arkman, the serial of that watch and mine are not too far apart either!

The speedo in the background is a 72 C10. Alas, watches are not my only disease...

I had the one from 2015. Really is a stunning dial.

That photo of yours also confirms that the hands are the correct length, which wasn't obvious to me at first glance. 馃憤

The dial hits me as avian in influence. The chevron texturing appears very much like a feather. The 12 o'clock marker reminds me of a bird's head/beak, and the American Airlines symbol.

Do you think Raven could be a good name for this dial? As in, 'I just picked up a Raven dial 2577 Seamaster yesterday.'

Or am I embarrassing myself? Lol

Moving past that......

I wore it to work today on a gold filled JB Nasa band.

I built the 318 that's in my 67, it's no slow poke. It's a hair quicker than my brothers' 5.7L LS powered 53 chevy pickup.

Stock those 318s are really nothing special though. Still fun to drive.
