So I got this 1969 omega seamaster ref 166.003
I know the “T Swiss Made T “means it’s lume on dial and on hand
But I haven’t seen any with the “dash - on either side of the T
Is this common or uncommon

I stand to be corrected but I’m not sure about the hands.

I had thought that 166.003/165.003 were fitted with dauphin hands and that it was the .002 model that was fitted with stick hands.

166.003 can have dauphine or stick but you’re right, that type of stick hands is unusual for a .003.

However, that type of hand is commonly seen on the T dials with dashes, so whilst unusual I wouldn’t be too quick to say they’re wrong.

How do you know it’s 1969 - from the serial?

Thinking about it, I wasn’t aware the 166.003 was made that late. It would be worth trying to find some other examples with a similar serial no to satisfy yourself it’s not a 166.002 dial and movement in a .003 case.

Of course an extract would also achieve this but it’ll cost you around 100 quid

Congrats on the 165.003! From others that I've seen that movement seems to be in pretty excellent condition. Great find!
