I am very excited to announce that the time has finally arrived for a book dedicated to the SM300.
‘A Collectors Guide to the Seamaster 300. The Vintage Years 1957 - 1970.’
It will be a printed book, with myself as publisher and co-author in conjunction with our very own Kim @kox, arguably one of the world’s foremost experts on this historic Omega model (could such a book exist without him?) along with input from a small handful of important collectors.
Kim and I have completed the initial discussions/concept and are now moving forward, compiling the large amount of information, research, photographs and tables required.
In an effort to fill the current void of detailed information on this very important Omega model, we will cover all the vintage SM300 references, sub-references, parts variations and serial numbers from 1957 to 1970 including military variants.
We are very happy to make this initial announcement here on Omega Forums, the home of real enthusiasts, collectors, connoisseurs, scholars and neo maxi zoom dweebies!
Keep us informed

The resurrection of this post is very timely as we have some news:
Since we announced our Seamaster 300 book there have been some interesting developments that I hope you will see as a very positive move in the right direction. After much discussion we have decided to join forces with Anthony and Greg of Moonwatch Only fame for a collaboration on their forthcoming Seamaster Only book. Kim and I will contribute the entire section dedicated to the vintage Seamaster 300 models. Most of you will already know the level of detail, professionalism and research that the ‘Only’ team apply to their game changing books and we are looking forward to adding to, and being a part of, the process.
We have been very encouraged by all the positive comments and offers of help that we have received, so thank you all very much, infact further help from the community will surely still be needed.
Although the book will not be out this year (a formal announcement is imminent) I think it will be well worth the wait!
