New OMEGA guy on the planet (but not yet - need help)

Hi there fellow watch lovers!
I plan to add the first OMEGA on my hungry wrist.
I decided to get a used Planet Ocean 8500 as I am a diver type individual(anything below 300m doesn't ring my bells).
Found this PO from 2016 close to me from a guy that doesn't want it anymore. It has full box(wood) and papers ... he states that it has 2 more warranty years and all for 3k€ ... to me everything looks ok.

But before I send the coin I would need some help from the grandfather of all knowledge with the photos here as I am not that great of an expert.

So...do these photos look like it's a genuine OMEGA?

Make sure the price reflects not on bracelet. Also my older planet ocean has fewer scratches and is was worn daily for 4 years.

What is he asking?

Looks like €3k...
You can get new in box on bracelet for a minimal amount more.

What kinds off issues do you think he should check for before buying? Do relatively new Omegas have issues that typically should be checked for? Please, we’d like to hear that upon which you base your words of warning and doubt.

@Paul211 I wore a modest Seamaster Pro 300m as my daily wear for 10 years raising kids, working, boating, diving, swimming, in the hot shower, riding motorcycles, changing diapers, teaching my kid to ride a bike, and so much more. It’s covered in scratches but never had the slightest problem. I took it in for service a couple months ago and all it needed was a reverser gear (wear item) and new seals. While the steel is scratched I refused polishing away its memories. The sapphire is clear and the blue dial catches the sun. The lume is magnificently brighter than a brand new Rolex. It’s the most comfortable watch I own!

I say but the used Omega in confidence and wear it in good health!

Not really, esp as it’s still under warranty. Still think the price is high esp with the finish scratches and lack of bracelet.

No issues in particular, just providing a note of caveat emptor for such a large purchase. I am a half empty type of person, just not going to assume everything works because it’s relatively new. I would ask for a return period to validate the warranty and have the watch checked out by competent watchmaker. Obviously. YMMV.

The price seems reasonable - it looks a little beat-up in my opinion.
