Interesting "story" on Omega's Instagram page today. Seems to imply something else is coming? Maybe a modern re-interpretation of one or all of the big three?

Cool, just saw it on IG.
Also was thinking of an interpretation of the three '57 watches...

Don't know why they would be doing this for the trilogy at this stage, IF the Basel 2017 57 reissues were already performing well. So for me either they have had a dip in the reissue sales and are trying to give some sort of sling shot (space ref. there:)) media attention bump with these posts or something new is coming our way.

BTW surprised that we are almost in mid-July and the non-LE railmaster is still nowhere to be seen on the Omega site. Not even in their Basel 2017 collection page.

I truly don't understand why they aren't hyping the non-LE Railmaster. It concerns me that they're unable to see they have a winner on their hands.

Yet they hold a big press conference for that Commander monstrosity... ::puke::

Interesting to see what will happen.
    Maybe a vinyl-milkshake-car watch? :D

A vinyl dial would be interesting... instant patination the moment you leave it in the sun for a while ;)

Collectors will go crazy for it!!!

Also a guaranteed future replacement dial business....imagine looking for an original vinyl dial 50 years from now! I think that's a redial...

When I saw this I didn't get the impression that a new watch was coming out, to me it seemed like marketing content hyping the coming of more...marketing content. Perhaps a section of their website devoted to the history of the trilogy and the watches they inspired over the years?

This is exactly what I was thinking. Nothing new to add to the collection, but more to hype up the releases of the '57 trilogy. I don't have a problem with either, but I want my dang Speedy.

I'm sure you're correct. It was the "find out soon" part of the advert that had me thinking.

100% agree on this. The new non-LE Railmaster could be a huge hit if they advertised it more.

Each to their own, of course, but I do not find it very appealing at all. The cross hairs do not work for me.

I have seen a few images of a grey dialed version - was that ever released?

Having held the new non LE railmasters in my hand... hard pass from me... that dial... why do they hate us?

Exactly. It is as if they built us up just so they could slap us down - keeping us in our place :(

Well there is another '57 that they didn't release a tribute to at Basel, as its far less famous than its holy trinity siblings.

It also has a somewhat 50s Americana inspired name, "Ranchero"

    That's my guess anyway.

Ahh the ranch hand... inspired by... being handy on a ranch... and records, Ice cream, and Cadillacs?

There are some days when I feel, as a marketer, I should apologise for the behaviour of all marketers... we're awful people, who do terrible things. ::facepalm1::

    Wasn't the Ranchero a 1958 release?
