The bracelet might be the most interesting thing here otherwise, interesting for some reason to see this caseback given the obvious oddities surrounding the Tokyo 2020 casebacks/watches
I'm not liking that "frosted" finish on the dial. Is this Omega's attempt at a snowflake dial? Not a big fan...
I'd want to see it in person first, or at least see some real life pictures. These renderings from Omega tend to look rather flat.
Within a second of seeing this, my brain asked “why has it got a Roman numeral 5 at so many indexes??” Now I can’t unsee them, of course…
Well, I saw this piece in person. It is really hard to see the "frost" effect. Maybe it was the boutique lighting? It was not as bad as a I thought, but I am still not a fan. The blue hands are nice though...
Omega isn't doing limited editions anymore. There might be limited numbers but noone know how many. They will probably make these for a year or so and then discontinue them, ala Tokyo 2020-21
I wonder what it will look like in the metal. The Grand Seiko looks quite nice with the snowflake dial.
Are there limited production numbers? The Tokyo Olympics were LEs - 2020 of them x 5 different watches. Can you buy this watch anywhere or is it exclusive to China do you know?
It is available anywhere as my AD here in the US sent out an email this morning indicating that this was available for pre-order.
I really like it, so I bought one three weeks ago. It’s been in the catalogue for a while but only started being delivered very recently. I don’t know about numbers but OB (London) said they had been told they would be getting five of them.
