I'm going to the new museum for my birthday (again after my trip to the old one 2 years ago) and we are staying in Basel this time.Travelling on 20th march leave 22nd march.
Can anyone suggest a nice place to eat on the Saturday night?
Also anywhere to go to/visit?

walking along the Rhine and in the medieval streets by the cathedral is very nice. I missed the art museums cited above when I was there as it was just for a half day but they are known as a key highlight of the city.

can anyone recommend an eatery?
depends on what you like, I can recommend:
Markthalle, you can choose from a lot of different types of food to eat. It's an open space with different cuisines. https://www.altemarkthalle.ch

Tibits:
Is a vegetarian chain in Switzerland and they have a nice buffet with a lot of choices, their Locations have a really nice interior. I would go to the Steinen Location as it's the nicest of the two Tibits in Basel.

if you want to go go somewhere really fancy I can recommend the "Brasserie les trois Rois". I only went once and liked the french cuisine and the Whiskey. It's bit more pricy.

@SpeedyPhill I've always been curious about this: what is easily accessible to the public at Bienne for Omega? Is there a special OB or museum there you can visit?

Am also planning my Switzerland trip soon including a visit to Le Locle since I'm an Ulysse Nardin fan so thanks for thread OP!

thanks for everyone's help but the trip is off till the virus nightmare is over, its not wise to make unnecessary trips at the moment
