    Hello fellow omegafiles.
Have any members visited the museum and do they have any tips?
    How big is it.
How long does it take to go round?
    Are guided tours available?
Is there anything else near worthy of a visit?

    Thanks in advance

    Yes!

    Small but perfectly formed.

Maybe 45 minutes of you read everything.

Longer if you befriend the team. ;)

No guided tours that I've seen advertised... they do them for events.

There's not a whole lot else going on in Bienne/Biel, but it is a nice town to walk around.

If you're not in a rush to go, it might be worth waiting for the new museum, later this year/early next.

I think I will wait maybe.
Do you know if a factory tour is available?

Not unless you're Daniel Craig... or on a training course from Omega.... or Press maybe?

Still they provide you with an Audio guide and if you make all the stops and listen to all the stories, 45 minutes won't be suffiscient ;)

Which sections did you zap, Chris? :D

Old Museum still open, new museum will be done some time between now, and the distant future, when genetic hybrid apes roam the planet, and do battle with the last members of the human race.

There are many posts here on the Museum with extensive photographs. I would recommend searching for them.

I didn't end up making it to the museum due to time constraints...
Definitely recommend a walk around Zurich town and if your into snow sports and trains then the trip out to Davos in the winter is amazing!

    well....

    what a fabulous trip
Loved the museum and spent a little over 2 hours in there. Even the girlfriend loved it and she isn't into watches at all ( i think the audio guide helped in this a lot). The staff were very friendly and helpful
it was brilliant to see some watches i've never seen in the flesh and of course this has inspired me and confirmed some of my targets for future purchases.( stardust MegaQuartz dials are amazing!, and i loved chrono-quartz Albatross )
seeing watches i own in the collection is very satisfying for some odd reason

another highlight was a trip to the boutique in Geneva where a was looking for a memento of the trip and having the deputy manager and the in-house watchmaker delight in looking at the few watches i had with me ( my 71 speedy 145.022, my Anakin 145.023 , my flightmaster 911 145.036 ). I almost got a new strap and period correct Buckle for my grandfathers seamaster but alas they didn't have it in a long so i left, empty handed but with a full heart.

also took in the Patek Philippe museum in Geneva, which was a very nice out together museum

    and now a few photos....
i took a lot so shall try not to post too many

Thanks for sharing the photos, it is on my list of things to do as I sometimes go skiing with friends for a few days but normally just use Geneva as an airbridge.
Glad you had a great time.

Great photos, thanks. I was planning to go when I was staying close by over Xmas, but sadly it was closed. With your photos I can now have myself a virtual tour :)
