Agree. Fingers crossed. The PO is funny since it actually exists (ed?) in 37,5. But it felt like a hockey puck because of the thickness. The whole thing became quite unproportional.

Yeah, My love for Omega started from the PO Oreo which comes in a hefty 43mm and crazy thickness. Even thought i still love it I would never buy it.

Nice read! Looking forward to the reveal. Any guess of what it might be?
The last line, 'make people smile,' takes me straight to something goofy with Alain Silberstein 🙄

Practically speaking, they've added a ton of stuff to the Speedy, Seamaster, and De Ville lines, so maybe Connies are next? Some sort of re-imagined vintage piece methinks. Nice lil skeletonised hand-cranker would be peachy.

A nice addition to the Connie line makes sense. They haven’t been getting the same level of attention as the SMP and Speedy lately.
Nice guess/wish! 😀

>>“I should not tell you,” Aeschlimann says. “But already, by the end of January, we will have a new state-of-the-art watch which will have a very big value for the watch industry. We’ll come with a new innovation. Because it’s part of us. We make products that make people smile.”

The "new innovation" bit makes me curious. With Omega that could mean so many different things lol. My first thought is maybe some kind of new GMT, since its been a while since they released a proper GMT other than the world timer.

Id like to see better bracelets. For me, the PO bracelet should be on the AT and the SMP300. Too much polishing for sport watches.

Don’t know if I agree that the PO bracelet would be the best for the AT. Is it it super thick?
I do agree with the polishing. Time to throw it out the window. Brushed is soo much better!

I’ve heard that Snoopy production will end Q1 2023…perhaps making space for something new?

This, new innovation, big value.

Not so sure it'll be GMT related. That doesn't seem innovative enough, or a large impact on the watch industry.

This sounds more like materials, eg the bio ceramic in the Swatch. A new or cheaper complication?

Big value could mean more affordable or more useful technology.

Whatever it is, sounds intriguing.

Omega really need to reduce the thickness of their watches.

Agreed.

I'd also like to see a few more no date regular (non LE) production models. My eyes went downhill fast when I hit about 48, and except for a cyclops or GO's Panodate, the complication is useless and cumbersome for me.

Innovation in materials seems like a good guess. Maybe that will lead to a reduction in size/weight? Maybe also progress with amagnetic movements?

Basically what the AT had before they decided to polish it right?

Materials would make sense, but I can't think of what else Omega would be doing there so soon. O-Mega steel was the newest material, maybe some kind of titanium alloy next? Anything precious metal is too expensive to be a "big value"

Bio Ceramic and cheaper movements is going in the opposite direction that Omega has been aiming for the last few years, so I disagree with those guesses.
