I think they just went too far with all the limited editions. So now they are a little more careful. Having said that it doesn’t make sense to miss this very key Apollo anniversary. Still time in the year though!

That's a really good point. I was a bit surprised by that, this morning, as they were going through Apollo 7 on the news - that Omega wasn't all over it.

Well, I'm becoming pessimistic that we'll see anything new at all. "James Bond Day" came and went with barely a nod from Omega. I'd love a Speedmaster w/an adjustable bracelet or the 300 ( or even the 200 ) reissue. But, October is waning fast......
Completely shocked as well that they didn’t at least bring out a James Bond Swatch series/SwatchMaster??/ let alone a new Seamaster to celebrate 60th anniversary. Seems like a huge opportunity missed. OMEGA Ads tell me no new watch until a new film…

I may be the only one but I would love to see the Omega Seamaster 300m back to 41mm and with sword hands instead of the skeleton hands.
What do you guys think?

I agree but the truth is the PO is the evolution of the Blake 300's.

I doubt these are big sells but I guess it's not that hard to have different color dials made.

And yet they make a big deal out of it when they release a new dial color for the SMP300.

Tbf, they also made a new ceramic color for the green.

Hope they do a re-issue of the classic Bond SMP from 1993, while maintaining the same proportions.

Well they have, sort of, several times, with various tweaks to the design but preserving the distinctive blue dial / blue bezel aesthetic of the original. The latest iteration of that is 210.30.42.20.03.001.

I have the automatic version of the original (2531.80.00), and a few others from that era, and the design does seem a little dated these days. Not sure why.

It seems that Omega has released a limited series of bling blings Speedmasters. Ugly as hell and totally unneccesary.

When I lived in Saudi Arabia I saw all kinds of heavily gem set watches, stuff that I wouldn't wear. A few years later when visiting the Audemars Piguet factory they opened up their vaults and brought out all kinds of watches, many of the same kind of heavily set gem pieces, especially platinum or gold Royal Oaks. When asked why they make these the answer was straightforward; there was a market for them in certain countries and that revenue helped fund the development and design of new movements and designs, the kind of watches that we, the collector, would be interested in. If you run a business you have to understand your customer, and not all customers are the same. And handling a gem set watch is quite the experience, seeing perfectly cut, perfectly matched diamonds and other stones set on a dial, bezel, case and bracelet is quite something. Even though it's not my interest I can certainly appreciate the design and craftsmanship.

The five Speedmasters you refer to are pretty understated, imo. I would wear any of them on the right occasion.

140 new models (give or take) in one fell swoop. Everything that's wrong with Omega in a nutshell, IMHO.
Holy crap! 140 SKU’s is a crap load.
