Hi, I'm a collector of watches having been fascinated by them since I can remember. My collection comprises mostly Seiko, but I have many Citizen, Casio and then numerous other brands. I own one Omega, a Gen 1 X33 which I bought because of the association with the NASA space programme. Being a child of the 60's I remember the excitement of the Apollo missions. In 2012 I started to tinker with watches I bought from ebay - fitting new crystals, cleaning the case and components and slowly learning how to take them apart and where necessary bring them back to life. For a couple of years I focussed on quartz watches, but in recent years I have branched out to mechanicals and now I'm at home with either. I love complications - so the Seiko 6139 and 6138 chronographs figure heavily in my collection. I post write ups of my work on various forums, all as this username. I look forwards to contributing to this forum. I'm based in London, UK.
