Hello all, I have my first Omega "Speedmaster" Triple Date inbound and decided to join the forum for information and owner support. I have a number of vintage Seiko watches and various modern watches, but am really excited to be joining the world of Omega owners. I chose the triple date as an entry level Omega that I could wear daily if desired and get a feel for what the line has to offer. I may (more than likely) step up to the plate for a true speedy purchase in the future. I will post pics when the watch arrives. I am not a huge fan of the stock bracelet, my plan is to purchase an Uncle Seiko Holzer. I wondered if there are any members who would have some feedback on them. I already own a couple Uncle Seikos and have been extremely pleased with them. Thanks.

    Welcome to the forum!
Glad to have you and look forward to seeing your incoming watch.
We have many Seiko admirers and recently started a sub-forum on Seikos. Might be a good place to post some pictures and ask your Seiko questions.
There have been many discussions of UncleSeiko bracelets and he is actually a member here.
Just do a search (the magnifying glass at top) of all the key words you are interested in and you'll be on your way.

Hello. My one and only Omega (so far) is a triple date. Loved it since I saw it years ago.

I wasn’t fond of the bracelet so put mine on black nato. Enjoy it so much more this way. Pic is my avatar (kinda lame and need to make it something better). Looking forward to seeing pics of yours.

What size is your wrist? I have a 7.5 inch wrist and wasnt worried about the 39mm size as I wear vintage watches as small as 35mm. I did read reviews that stated it wore small, but I think people assume 44mm watches are normal nowadays.

I have a small wrist. It fits like a glove on me. I think it will fit fine on you.

Arrived today. Very much in the condition I expected. Worn but loved. My plan is to wear it for a while and make sure it's for me, then send it off to Omega for a full service. As I mentioned before, I'm not a fan of the bracelets, so I swapped it out for a NATO. Tried it on a leather bund but thought until I get the Uncle Seiko Holzer for it the NATO is a little more comfortable and safe. Crystal has a couple scuffs. Tachy is in pretty good shape. Central hour/minute hands and 24 hour have more patina than the rest, I assume this means they are original and the rest were replaced. The seller had it serviced by a watchmaker in California 3 months prior to selling. I understand now what the fuss is all about. These are really beautiful watches. Tell me what you think.

I dig it! (especially on that NATO strap)
If the watch is running well now, and you have plans for an upgrade replacement in the future you may want to evaluate if the service bill will be "worth it" for you. The chrono models from Omega are $750 if you have it serviced through Omega. I chose an independent, Omega certified, watch maker in my area his estimate came in at $700 for my Speedy Automatic.

Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the forum!
