Nice. What is the story behind it? What are you planning to do with it?

I bought from from the family of the first owner and he nearly never used it, when he was deceased they sold it.

I want to ask an extract of the archive and probably keep it.

I have questions about the dial, specifically the printing on the subdial. Here is an example that I know to have an original dial.

P1020461.jpg

Note the following:
1. The sharpness of the indent for the subdial.
2. The seconds register markings. Nice and even, out to the edge of the subdial.
3. The location of "Swiss Made" at the bottom of the dial.

Here is one of the OP's pictures

See the differences? 😉

It could be that the back is a NOS replacement. I've seen a couple of those over the years with the sticker.

I am so wary of these watches. The redials are getting better.

Is it normal to see the ink sitting thick on top of the letters? I can see it in OP's photo. Is that normal or a sign of redial?

Hmmmm.
I see red flags I'm sorry to say.
Please show me another white dial Ranchero
with the subseconds dial that has hour hashes
that far away from the subdial edge.
There are other red flags I see also.

I trust the collective knowledge of the members here far more than any auction house, especially Antiquorum.

The OP's dial is redone/aftermarket
The crown is wrong (if it was a NOS watch why put a wrong crown on?)

It is easy to se the difference compared to and original dial just look at the subdial and the 5
and 7 hour index the length and how they are placed to the subdial.
