For what it's worth, I like you quite a bit better when you're level-headed. 馃榾 Hope all goes well in your personal life. I took your advice yesterday night and asked for a refund, so I am in possession of my money once again. This time I won't be so easy to burn it on something I haven't extensively researched. Fortunately for me my mistake was short lived, but I don't want to have to count on luck again. Thanks for the response, both today's and yesterday's. I may not have asked for my money back had you not been agressive. More than likely I would have shaken off the post and thought "well if I like it it shouldn't matter." Now I can go out and find something I'll be proud of. Thanks!

No problem, I"m glad you got the money back. I felt the guys were being way too easy on you so someone had to be the asshole 馃槈 I'm just happy you learned the lesson and got it for FREE 馃榾 Personal issue will pass, just need to keep moving forward. As you can probably tell I am usually quite Spock like but burn very hot on certain matters. 馃槈

I'll keep an eye out for you as well, it will be a fun little game for the few of us who are scouring the net daily anyways.

PS. hello it's OCD just go to page 10223 of the Webster's dictionary its right there, it's right there, its right there can't you see it?!?!
PSS. Dennis you and MSNWatch are Omega gods, I have learned so much from your posts - bit star struck to be honest 馃槣

If you mean me worshipping myself, there are none. I'm smart enough to know I'm stupid. However, if you mean me being blunt it's a regular occurence, especially about Ukranian frankens. Here's the latest one from about a month ago:

Not one to mince words about fake Patek Philippes either.

Thanks man, the more people looking the better! I appreciate the help.

Also, I had no idea I should have felt starstruck for Dennis and MSN posting and conversing with me... had I known I was in the midst of royalty, I would have worn pants. 馃槜

You gotta have years of photography "mishaps" to get anywhere near my level...I'm yet to see someone make those shadows "appear" bigger to the naked eye!! 馃槈

my woman prefers it when I'm wearing nothing but a watch. Or maybe that's just my preference.

So I've been looking at a few Omega Seamaster Calendars and Seamaster Chronos, both models I would love to own. In average condition, how much do these normally run, in your experience? What can everybody tell me about them?

The question is too broad as there are many different models for both seamaster calendars and 'chronos' (not clear also if you mean chronometer or chronograph). I'm afraid you are going to have to do a lot of research on your own as there is a lot of material out there in the internet (and even in this forum)

You're right, question was too vague. For the chronograph I meant the cal. 321's. Beautiful pieces IMO.

It all depends on what model and dial you're looking at. A nice stainless steel late 50's Seamaster Calendar caliber 503 with a black dial will run at least $600, and probably closer to $1000 the better the condition. However, you can score a decent Seamaster caliber 6xx manual wind w/ date from the 60's for $450 - $750 depending on condition.

Chronographs are a different ball game. You won't touch a half decent 861 Seamaster for under $1000, and be ready to pay $1500 minimum for most. 321's will start at $2000 and that's for a beater. But if you don't mind a single pusher Seamaster Chronostop the average conditioned ones sell for $800-ish and the good ones for $1050. Black dials were a regular thing on them. Got one myself that still has the purple snot on the back and I paid $1150-ish a few years ago. (no, you can't buy it. 馃槣)

Can I just take it then?

Nice 321 seamaster chronographs start at $2k for a gold cap or stainless steel model and up from there depending on originality, condition and case metal.
