I’m not overly concerned with the blatant attempt to get in on the act, however I agree some of the colours just don’t suit the sunburst finish at all

Leaving the date window like that for the 38mm just looks plain wrong. I've always thought the aqua terra lineup has one of the most well executed date windows. Why are they leaving this one out.

This looks a million times nicer:

This too:

And even a cheap off-brand watch frames the date on a sunburst dial

Love this, as much as I liked the deck pattern (both versions) It did make the dial a bit busy for my taste

When looking at my vintage omegas, I get Mesmerised by the way the light plays off the sunburst dials

this is a return to classic timeless design (unless you choose the red or gold dials), which is a win when paying this much money for a watch

My omega Genève fits in with the modern watches of today just as much as it did in the 60s, i would bet that this would look just as good in 30 years time

I would have much preferred new color options for the latest gen 38mm teak deck dials, like the existing green that's only available in 41. Must just not be big sellers for Omega.

Agree. The AT execution manages to combine looks and legibility.

FWIW, when I was trying on the green dial variant a while back at an OB the salesperson pointed out that the AT date window is difficult to counterfeit

Omega must have sought inspiration from the pillows in the lounge area at my local gym

I prefer the Rolex green over Omega green but I really want to see what the solid gold Speedmaster with green looks like in person.

I'm happy to see Omega spots a hole in the market so buyers can actually get what they want. This blood bath in Rolex isn't fun at these price points.

But can you actually immediately walk out with any Rolex at the AD?

Great point, I also think it's nice of Omega to hold true to their color ways previously used at least with the green. Not sure if the other colors have been used before. I actually prefer the pink and blue in a more muted classy color. The vibrant Tiffany blue / yellow / coral look much better toned down like Omega's releases.

I quite like the reds. Not crazy about the date windows, though. Just look unfinished on such a carefully structured dial, and the lack of colour-matched wheel makes it looks like the date is trying to claw its way out from the watch's innards. as opposed to the much more subtle, layered execution of the 41 and 38.5, in which the date window is itself framed in teak, like a deck hatch. JMO.

The AT design is beautifully-done -- a simple, legible watch that reveals itself little by little as the eye moves in and the light changes -- I know, sounds like catalogue copy, but it's how the watch works, I think. It's a watch built in layers. Pulling them off to reveal a simple sunburst, however striking, thins out the watch, so to speak. But perhaps it works better in person.

The red one is sensational. The rest are trash. They look plain as hell without the teak patterns though. Also, if the date windows matched the dial colours, that would look so much better. I guess they know what they're doing (?)

I have been asking myself many times why Omega no longer produces the Aqua Terra with the sunburst dials, just like they used to. I thought I was going to love this, but I am extremely underwhelmed. As others has mentioned, the design seems outdated and that date window is an utter disappointment 🙁

Need the teak, they would look much better! Maybe a photoshop wizard on here could show us what the looks like...

The one thing that bothers me -now I have looked at them in more detail over the last few days- is the polished sides

More polishing on the AT is not the direction I was hoping Omega was going to go.

Agree -- the grainy brushed finish on the sides, and its contrast with the polished bezel and casebook bezel is one of my favourite things about the AT design. It's beautifully done, and is one of things that allows the watch to bridge the tool-watch/ dress-watch divide so well. Reminds me a bit of the thin brushed strip on the side of the GS/ MM300 divers, provides visual interest and adds dynamism to the case.

I can only handle so much high polish on an everyday sports watch.

I like the new sunburst dials. However, the date window is a show stopper for me. It looks incredibly odd. It sits too high and and creates a giant empty space below. Upper edge should be aligned with tips of indexes.
Another thing to consider is adding a frame to the date window. Frame could have the same style as indexes.

I'm taking a guess that Omega's gambling on the whims of the watch-buying public at large going completely gooey over these colours, you know, embracing inclusivity and all that stuff.
Maybe the same watch-buying general public at large is already completely over the previous teak-dialled iterations. Sadly I'm a throwback in this respect.
Do I think these are lovely, yes I do and as my days of formal business suit are behind me I can go with any colour which complements my tan/hair/teeth/car.
